DownTo is an independent, campus-only marketplace that helps verified college students find roommates, list subleases, and get things done on campus — from tutoring and coding help to moving, errands, and more.

We are built for students, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any university, college, or school.

What is DownTo?

DownTo is a two-sided platform built exclusively for college students. Every user joins through a verified university email, helping ensure that roommate matches, task bids, and housing listings come from real students in your campus community.

The platform has two core products:

a Roommate Finder that uses a swipe-style matching experience to help verified students connect for housing, roommates, and subleases
a Task Marketplace where students can post tasks and receive bids from other verified students at their school

DownTo also includes payment protection features for eligible transactions. For tasks, funds are collected when a bid is accepted and released after the work is approved. For eligible roommate and sublease transactions, DownTo Protection can include identity verification, document review, and payment-hold support to make student housing transactions safer.
